DEAR PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
Thanks to WordPress.com, I have the privilege and honor to write you this very short open letter of welcome. You only have a few days at the presidency, but us: IMMIGRANTS, FOREIGNERS, OUTSIDERS, LATINOS, MEXICANS, ALIENS, HISPANICS, SOUTH AMERICANS, etc, etc…have seen a big difference already. It is like black and white. We do not know how your government is going to be, or how it is going to finish, however let me give you million of thanks for these wonderful days of hope. Everybody is talking about CHANGE. And we need it. The IMMIGRANT family needs urgently that this change be executed from your Presidential office in the beginning, and you already started it. Just an EXECUTIVE ORDER coming from your WHITE HOUSE OFFICE will change lives of millions of aliens, and they with their children and grandchildren are never going to forget and thank the big black powerful Brother who helped them. President Obama you have such authority. The IMMIGRANT family is suffering a lot, immigrants must be respected, like any “animal” or pet in the USA. Pets have right to health services, insurances, special funds, diagnosis clinic, foods, non profit assistant organizations, shelters, etc, etc. Do you know that the Salvation Army a “church” denied services to the immigrants who do not have a legal status? Also other community service agencies receiving money of the federal government do the same. I do not want to exhaust you.
Let me tell you, thank God I went to one of the most antique and traditional universities in the Southern states, Mercer University / Atlanta and I graduated with a major in Psychology from there; also my wife who has a Master degree at Education from there. Thank God I waited more than fifteen years for my Resident Status and I have my green card. It was a long journey. Can you imagine how I struggled to mantain a healthy and united family without work permission for years? Can you think how a human being can keep the faith in a situation like it? One time I was arrested when I went to pay the Driver License Department in Miami. I arrived at the office before 5 PM, still I had more than 30 minutes before they closed. However, the State trooper at the door did not let me to enter alleging that I was late. I insisted that I only wanted to pay a fee of my car registration, and I was arrested. He was asking for work permission, green card, and other immigration documents which was not under the scope of his work. Those tasks were executed only for INS federal officers, not for policemen. I explained to him that I was waiting documents for extension, and that I had a petition pending with INS which is a task of years waiting. He was calling INMIGRATION ( “la migra”), Krome, and another agencies. I was praying the Lord for help. Unfortunately, I was jailed for the first time in my life (50 years) and booked. The prison was the same one where I was being sent by the Dade County Public School to teach tenegeers at Pre trial under the jurisdiction of the Eleventh Circuit Court Miami-Dade/ State of Florida every day as a “substitute teacher” for more than 5 years. The correctional officers that knew me as a teacher and Gospel minister recognized me, and asked why I was passing such trial. I humbled explained that it was because of my immigration situation. They conforted me, and promised that next morning I would be out of jail. While there I preached all night. A mexican fellow received the Lord Christ Jesus and gave me his family phone because they did know nothing about him for several days. He was afraid to call his family directly because they could track his phone number and call immigration and it was going to be worst for the deporting of the full family, and consequently the split of the family. At morning, very early the State Attorney Katherine Fernandez visited the jail, and I was released without bond and without charges. A few days after the case was closed and dismissed. It was a figure of false imprisonment .
However, a tax preparer service lady that forced my signature and cashed my return check that was sent from the government to her home I do not know what happened to her. The last time that the investigator from the IRS called me said that they were arresting her and I was going to receive my money back very soon. Until now, years after I have not received any penny or excuse. The refund check was for more than $3000. .. Believe me, dear President Obama, it is a big social and ethic problem. If this happened to an educated immigrant living in USA, would you imagine the daily suffering the people who do not have any kind of services and ID cards and who live among in the shadows go through? Can you feel how they live each day? It is a real nightmare in the XXI century!! It is not the American dream that I had when I decided to come to the USA with my wife and four little children. Neither it was the hopeful colorful celestial dream that I had when I bought the airplane tickets for my children and wife to fly to here . And I am sure that neither it was the vision of millions of immigrants who still are in their immigration limbo status waiting that the Congress does something for them some day! Please!! Now, add to their suffering the global financial and work and housing market chaos.
Thanks God times of CHANGE are coming…A lot of extraordinary gifted students who can be a big asset for this big country are in a legal immigration limbo, most of them studied Elementary, Middle, and High School here, but they are not going to the colleges for this immigration limbo problem. And now they are in the streets…You must stop this negative actions against immigrants. In USA everybody have DNA from immigrants. The Pilgrins were immigrants, the Father Founders were immigrants and children of immigrants…The ONLY natives really “American” because this land belonged to them, were the native indians: Cherokees, Sioux, Apaches, Dakotas, etc. etc.
In order to finish, this short letter of welcome, I know that there are a lot of financial problems in the world, climate changes, earthquakers, wars, recesion, ufos, signs at the heavens, winds, sunamis, hurricanes, etc. etc. But you would give a temporal DRIVER LICENSE as a release to all the immigrants who can show a passport with fingerprints, or a I-94 INS stamped form, or any USA record such as School grade records, or USA vaccination certificates, or USA Consulate Services documents, or some evidence that they have already started any adjustment immigration status petition. United States have the most sophisticated technology to identify precisely by biometric devices to any individual. I am sure that terrorists using massive destruction weapons are not in the IMMIGRANT family. NOBODY COMING TO THIS COUNTRY TO LIVE HERE WANT TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY, TERRORISTS AND ENEMIES WISH TO DESTROY USA AND WESTERN JUDEO-CHRISTIAN CIVILIZATION. The majority of immigrants are not fanatic religious extremist muslims, by contrast they are Christians, catholics, jews as are religions from Hispanic culture and traditions. Hispanic immigrants love their familis, their work and to live with peace. They are not the kind of individual that commit criminal terrorist massive destruction attacks. If you study the statistical the higher percent of the US Military Forces are latinos: immigrants or children of immigrants, or immigrant familiar. Also, the majority statistical number of Army heros and soldiers deceased in the last wars at Irak, and Aghanistan and other countries are Hispanics or Latinos. Immigrant Hispanic love this country, love of freedom and democracy of this country. They love the Constitution and Amendments of this nation. Because of it, they are here. Also they do the kind of hard work that natives do not like to do. By contrast, the criminal individual who are not hidden in the shadows but that are already living among us have a lot of money coming from their sponsors, necessary to pay for immigration specialist lawyers, to live without calling attention and get fake identification cards like any citizen. Some of them using false uniforms to deceive the authorities to get their targets as the terrorists at September 11, 2001. Some really bad guys are citizens or members of secret groups or organizations which you as the first black president must know very well. They are not necessarily immigrants. They are already here as I stated before, a lot of them born here. And they are just waiting for the right moment and place to execute their criminal agenda. Another came here using tricks, tunels, paths at the borders, by the ocean, and also can be using small modern sophisticated and expensives submarines as the ones used for narcotic operations which were captured at South American seas. Moreover, how the Department of Homeland Security known very well, a lot of these terrorists and enemies of the United States have special protection, securities and escort services and some have privileges as ” special agents”, diplomats, and foreign countries service specialists, and some are spies who definitively work for countries enemies of the United States of America. It is the real danger, this is the bad people that must be arrested and deported, not the IMMIGRANT family. Therefore, establishing that the IMMIGRANTS are going to be the terrorists, or that are the bad guys who are going to attack USA is like saying that all the British who lived at USA were pirates or criminals during the colonial time. Which is not true! You must stop this bad and dirty campaign against the IMMIGRANT FAMILY compound for real families. Actions destroying the family are evil. To do it for any country is not fair, moreover for the United States an example of international rol model of Human Rights and Justice in our modern planet.
Finally dear President, we must not forget that hate is not a wise counselor. I am one hundred percent sure that Republican Party lost millions of votes because of its absurd position anti immigrant, Mr. Mc Cain was right! He is a man of vision, who understand the signs of the times. It is not my personal opinion, it is wrote in the Bible by the hands of God. Thousands of years ago. You know it very well, since you are a Christian believer, former United Church of Christ member like me. The world is going to be shaked, and we need to adapt to the natural and social dramatic changes, otherwise we are not going to survive. As somebody said: ” we need to build bridges”… Do a big favor to yourself and CHANGE it now!!! Now is the time, IMMIGRANTS can not wait any more. I will finish my letter of welcome wishing you to continue receiving big blessings from our God, and a lot of success in your important position as the President of the most powerful nation of our planet. 42. ” For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me, no drink: 43. They asked when happened it Lord?…YOU KNOW THE ANSWER!!! SI SE PUEDE!!! YES. WE CAN!!!
